AbstractStrange hadronic matter with nucleons,Lambda-hyperons and Xi-hyperons is studied by using a modified quark-meson coupling (MQMC) model in a mean-field approximation. The density dependence of the effective baryon masses as well as the saturation properties and stabilities of the strange hadronic matter are discussed. (C) 1999 Published by Elsevier Science B.V.
