Abstract | We have reanalyzed reaction cross sections of N-16 on a C-12 target. The nucleon density distribution of N-16, especially surface density distribution, was extracted using the modified Glauber model. On the basis of dilute surface densities, the N-15(n, gamma)N-16 reaction is discussed within the framework of the direct capture reaction mechanism. The calculations agree quite well with the experimental data. |
