Abstract | Coalescence model analyses for the reactions C-12+Sn-116, Ne-22+Ag-108, Ar-40+Mo-100 and Zn-64+Y-89, all at 47 A MeV projectile energy, provide evidence for increasing expansion as the projectile mass increases. Average freezeout densities as low as 0.36rho(0) are indicated. The caloric curve for these nuclei exhibits a plateau near 7 MeV. A brief review of the current status of caloric curve measurements and discussion of the extent to which presently available results are coherent with each other is presented. |
